Guest Alchemist: Dan Istrate
Audio recording of three short monologues from The Lady’s Not For Burning, a play by British writer Christopher Fry.
The Alchemists Clubhouse is a weekly newsletter of art, poetry, and coaching tips. Full members are invited to live workshops on Zoom and have access to the full archive of recorded workshops, plus special features like this one!
This special feature post is part of a new series for 2024. Once a month, in addition to the weekly newsletter, you’ll meet a new guest Alchemist and learn about how they create and celebrate beauty in the world. I hope these features inspire you and entice you to share some of your own creative adventures with us, too!
Check out last month’s special guest feature with photographer Isaac Oboka:
Meet Guest Alchemist, Dan Istrate
Dan is a longtime friend, a Romanian-born actor/director based in Los Angeles. Trained extensively for both stage and screen, he is a dynamic collaborator, attracted to projects that expose both the beauty and the darkness of human relationships. For this special feature, I asked him to record a series of short monologues from a play he’s currently rehearsing called The Lady’s Not For Burning, by British writer Christopher Fry.
Enjoy the audio recording below, and if you’d like to hear more from Dan, I also highly recommend the two extended interviews that I recorded with him for the Lead & Follow podcast, linked below. You can learn more about his work on his website.
